| The reality is the District Line is eratic even with the new trains which according to some only run slowly because of the squeaking noise they make on the tracks particularly approaching places like Holborn. The Piccadilly line trains often stop at Hyde Park Corner to "even out the service" so there is far more efficiency possible if they were able to fix the existing problems. This could also mean they could stop productively at TG. Also TFL never make arrangements for extra stops when they undertake work on the line. One bus to cover each train that would have stopped is not a good enough service. The main problem seems to be money so if TFL put in the money the problems would be solved and they would reap the benefits from greater fares income. |
