| Last time I looked, TG had a similar number of passengers to Baron's Court. If the Piccadilly stopped at Turnham Green, that would change, as more people would use Turnham Green. A stop at Turnham Green also benefits District line customers as well. It would cut time off the journey of everyone from Chiswick Park, Gunnersbury, Kew Gardens, and Richmond who wants to get into town. It won't be a large number of people, but changing at TG would save a lot of time for anyone going from the Richmond branch who wants to go west on the Piccadilly line. At the moment, they have to go into Hammersmith and back out. Changing at TG would save 3 stops in each direction. Stopping at Turnham Green makes more sense than stopping at Barons Court. The signalling won't allow a stop at Turnham Green during peak times at the moment, but if it did, then Turnham Green is definitely a more important station than Barons Court. |
