| "Do explain how Britain is a 'christian country' when there are less than 1 million practising Christians in this country?" That is the number quoted on the British Humanist Association's web site for the number of Church going Anglicans. The number for Catholics is 5 million (and probably rising due to trends in immigration). In the last census 71% of people described themselves as Christian. Perhaps you should refrain from making up statistics if you want people to take your arguments seriously. The Country's head of state is also the head of the Church. Seems fair to me to describe it as a Christian country. |
