Sorry Francis but your observations are simply anecdotes and can’t be treated seriously. If you had systematically taken measurements at the same time and location over a period of time and could produce the data then that would be worthy of consideration but you didn’t so it is nothing more than opinion. Given the council will have actual data from multiple sources it is safe to say no weight will be given to opinions if contradicted by actual evidence. There is also no need to have pollution monitors everywhere as pollution can be accurately modelled using the available data from monitors, traffic data and known profiles of how pollution behaves. The London Air Quality Network doesn’t need to have pollution monitors covering every square metre of London to produce maps like this of NO2 levels. You are also perfectly illustrating the point that it doesn’t matter how much data is available, opponents of restrictions to motor traffic will always say there needs to be more. |
