| Tom, of course car counts are down because of the gating effecting of two bus gates, closure of Fishers Lane, changes to light phasing and numerous choke points that mean most motorists avoid the area and mapping apps do the same. More generally on this thread, rather than people who have never run a food business, whether they are cyclists or not, aruge the toss, I do feel strongly that local businesses should have a key input. They pay high rates and rents and often many are not that busy. It would seem good to attract visitors, but we already have several great events that do this. Of course, people are entirely entitled to comment whether in support or not. Lets avoid another tiresome angry debate that always bizarrely seems to divide along the same lines. |
