"A bit of fuzziness on the exactitude of their statistical analysis doesn't rule out the validity of a trader's overall view." Francis, in this case their view, that covers were down on market days, was demonstrably invalid - there's no fuzziness there! "businesses on the southside ... have really seen footfall decline due to the Cycleway" In your case, you obviously feel untrammelled by any data when you make a completely unevidenced assertion which is in fact quite wrong. We have footfall data from counts made before C9 and then continuous monitoring of the southside from the TfL cameras after. Footfall has increased. It is notable that the largest increase in cycling numbers with C9 is during the day - it has doubled then. In contrast car counts are down 40%. What the evidence actually shows is that footfall on the High Road has increased as traffic along it has fallen. |
