| Mark, I hope you have worked out that an immediate and hostile response from Michael is a sure indication that you have made a good point. Some sort of judicial challenge to this scheme does seem inevitable should it survive the consultation stage. While I do acknowledge your point about induced demand, what TfL seem to be attempting to do is anticipate further increases that would be inevitable if there was no change. The amount of residential development along the A4 corridor is massive and, even without a third runway, passenger numbers at Heathrow may be far from their peak. |
