| But the absolute number matters! If a junction with very high vehicle throughput is producing multiple collisions and at growing rate then it is prioritised for safety treatment. You don't know or understand the process by which the investment for Hogarth was signed off. You don't even know where this junction ranks on the single metric you have raised. You are just assuming things from a position of ignorance and unwarranted suspicion of the motives of engineers and professionals. Why don't you go to a session and see if you can improve your knowledge of the situation before casting your aspersions? And I haven't said I support the scheme either. As you should know by now I am often motivated by observing the usual suspects on this forum make lofty and over-confident pronouncements on matters of which they have no knowledge. And I consider Councillor's Todd's demands for additional sessions to be disproportionate to the impact of this scheme on residents. They cost money and it is taxpayers and farepayers funding them. As I said it is a tiny number of households that are directly impacted by it and the Councillor could probably gather all of them together in a single session at the church. Having said that the residents of both Church St and Chiswick Mall are definitely going to think a lot harder before jumping in their car for a shirt local journey! |
