| Paul, you are one step away from shouting 'Fake News'. If you are correct that the decision wasn't taken on one year of collision data, then don't you find it odd that TfL has chosen not to say that its explanation? It will be interesting to hear what they say at the drop-in sessions but it would be much easier for TfL to make a convincing case by publishing what details it has on safety which encouraged them to make this decision. The new design will have a devastating impact on some businesses and lead to a meaningful deterioration in quality of life for around 100 people in our community. You may lack sympathy for them but you can't disagree that they deserve to hear the full reasoning behind the proposals. In the absence of this, it is not unreasonable to come to the obvious conclusion is that the reason for widening a road is to increase its capacity. It remains bewildering what you have said on here in the past that you seem not only willing to wave this through but have become the most fervent advocate for the scheme, your blatherings about your motivations being singularly unconvincing. |
