I contracted Polio in 1955, the year the vaccine was first available in the UK, as you say unlucky along with many others. Yes change is possible but trying to force people to give up motorised transport and demonising those who use cars is not the way forward. As for CS9 and how beneficial it will be to Chiswick High Road, its businesses and residents is questionable because its design is deeply flawed and TfL failed abysmally to consult with businesses and residents, and took notice of LCC and the like participants replies, many of whom do not live or work in Chiswick. LB Hounslow have yet to give the go ahead but with the ever increasing opposition to CS9 maybe they wont, and I understand that decision will be made in October at the next Cabinet meeting. The people who matter are those who live and work in Chiswick and it's their voices and wishes that should count above all others, at the moment CS9 is not fit for purpose. |
