| What scaremongering? I don't follow. We are discussing ways of alleviating the traffic congestion in Chiswick caused by the situation with Hammersmith Bridge, which will continue as it has been for the last few weeks for the next three years unless things change. Jennifer said she needs her car to enjoy her active lifestyle and said that the alternative is incarceration or euthanasia. I sympathised and said that if more people who are not so dependent on their cars chose other ways of moving around then there would be more space for people like her to continue to enjoy her activities via car or bus. Do you have any ideas for alleviating the traffic congestion over the next three years? I've suggested a few, including filtering roads to stop rat running, but it might be useful to have positive ideas to solve the problem from people who feel more dependent on cars than me. I haven't seen any yet. |
