For heavens sake Alan and Roland (how are you Roland, BTW?)- you are taking Julia far too literally. She won't be responding as she's away. We are all entitled to our own POV (at least for the time being until the Government takes even the power of thought away from us.) I'm sure you will correct me if I'm wrong but I seem to remember reading that in the 19th century Irish Catholics were encouraged to fight for Home Rule against the British Protestants(quite rightly, in my estimation.) Daniel O'Connnell, I think it was, who used Catholic priests to gather their 'flocks' to hear him speak after Sunday Mass? Once again, I say live and let live, and please refrain from twisting or reading into Julia's posts what is not there. She is entitled to her view, just as you are to yours. Can we draw a line under this thread now. |
