Sarcasm! The lowest form of wit and retreat of the atheist. Alan's contribution should have left you in no doubt as to your bigotry. It is late and I should ignore it but you addressed your latest diatribe at me personally so a few more responses to hopefully get your brain functioning.. "religious people by and large are very reluctant to entertain different ideas" Yours I guess. They aren't entertaining. Why so late back into the discussion Stine? Why did you skip over Richard's initial contribution? I did read your "contribution" to stiring up prejudice and fostering intollerance dated 18th May. Your scurillous attack on a business that is serving the community in an ethical and meaningful way is not a positive contribution to life in SW15, in my opinion. Do you work for a competitor? "Way off base"? Paranoia; unjustified suspicion and mistrust of others; a mental condition characterised by delusions.. seems to fit quite well. Don't you remember writing "people who spend a lot of time espousing religious views also tend to be extremists..". Vicars, priests, imams and rabbis probably do spend a lot of time on such matters. So that makes them all extremists? Perhaps you don't work for a competitor coffee house but for a secret service. How else would you come by these worrying "facts"? Sorry, reverting to sarcasm myself. Who on earth are the "we" in your postings? Who are you speaking on behalf of? To contemplate that there are a "community" of people just like you...now that is scary. It was Julia who said "The purpose of Faith Schools is to indoctrinate." I said "To suggest that faith schools purpose is to indoctrinate would surely have been picked up by H.M Inspectorate as child abuse if it had an iota of truth to it." As you know, Indoctrination is cause to accept a set of beliefs uncritically through repeated instruction whereas the petition espouses the opposite which indicates you too did not read it but had a preconceived idea of what it may say and stayed with that. Not only a bigot but a narrow minded bigot! |
