"I note that Jamila has made no mention of the offensive comments made by Roland." Apart from where she mentioned them of course. It seems that Sean does after all have some disciples. His particular brand of offensiveness is clearly too subtle for some of them but how they failed to pick up on the nastiness of his response to Jamila is beyond me. Clearly Sean is right when he says followers of a faith can be blind to its weaknesses. The description of his often rabid invective as gentle did make me laugh. I suppose this is an example of the 'No God Delusion'. True I don't think it can be claimed that Roland responses are any better but he is responding to provocation. Sean's problem appears to me not that he doesn't believe in God but that he thinks he is more intelligent than Him. The question is does his attempts to proselytise his views to us make him a no Godbotherer? |
