| Hmmm, tolerance. With Roland implying that atheists are Nazis, racists, immoral, worshippers of the 20th Century murdering dictators, I hardly think he is a shining example of tolerance from the religious side of the debate. Roland's 'points' are barely worth responding to, since they are so devoid of rational thought and so rooted in fear and hatred of what he clearly doesn't understand. For your information Roland, atheists simply don't believe in gods (yours or anyone else's). We aren't nazis, we have a purer morality than yours (we don't require bribery with eternal life to be nice to others), we are no more likely to be racists than believers, and we don't worship murderers. Your religion seems to have turned you into a fairly unpleasant character. Why not try another one? There are loads, and all of them are 100% certain that theirs is the only true belief. The church of the flying spaghetti monster is more enlightened than most, or you could sign up as a Jedi (after all, 390,000 people can't be wrong can they?). Or perhaps you could truly open your mind, and reject all the medieval nonsense and see the world as it really is for once. Try it - I think you'd be pleasantly surprised. |
