'I identify you with it because the way in which you insist on raising the temperature of debate and your almost messianical conviction in your own rightness reminded me of people I came across before.' The only mention of Ireland I made was when Mr Patel said that he hadn't noticed any killing in the name of religion in our country...well, most people have noticed and I said Irish were not/had not been tolerant of each others religions. That is ALL I said about Ireland. And I don't think I have been one jot more righteous about what I think than you certainly are by effectively calling me names and calling my ideas 'messianic'; why mine more than yours? And so much exaggeration. I had a happy childhood, thank you. I didn't have to be brainwashed for that. I ask you simply : do you think it is OK to tell little children that unproven stories are fact? If so why? And as a PS, I don't go around trying to convince people of my views on religion knowing I may offend...however this is a forum and no-one is obliged to paticipate...unlike children in religious schools!!! |
