Ed That summary comes from a TFL report on the use of cycle lanes, it was based on use up to the start of the pandemic. I'm not saying that cycling is a tiny minority. I looked at the report and it suggests that the cycle lanes tend to be used by people who have been cycling for some time and that the biggest users are white middle class men. Did TFL make this up? I didn't change any of the summary. It also says cycling journeys have increased, but again it suggests this is that the same people are making more journeys, not lots more new people taking up cycling. This isn't some anti cycling website, it's TFLs own report. Tell me if I have misunderstood the summary. |
