| Paul, so basically you have no answer of the impact of removing bus lanes for a cycle lane. I always walk or use public transport where possible. So you say "take the bus, walk or cycle instead". I went to get the bus the other day, it was so slow I got off and walked the mile and a half instead. I was going to a meeting, if it was raining I wouldn't off been able to do this and would of had to stay on the bus. The here and now is buses have been impacted and if anything push people into cars because people think. Why sit on a bus which had a speed advantage in a bus lane when I can sit in my own car and travel at the same speed. |
