I travel through there regularly, but rarely in a car. Given your track record, I thought it worth checking your claim. Over the last 13 years, those lights have been driven through 13 times by the Streetview cameras. 10 out of the 13 the lights were green, and for the remaining three times pedestrians were crossing where the lights were red. Either you are very unlucky, or your recollection is
faulty.
These images also show that westbound queues stretching back through the bus gate and back towards Goldhawk Road were a common occurrence before C9, but contrary to the claims of Paul Green/Bill George, buses were not held back in the general traffic.
