Tom, you are being obtuse. The queues to 'general traffic' also slowed buses on the approach to the bus lane on King St and Goldhawk Road. There were no bus delays prior to its installation, and TFL never demonstrated any real need. The sensors often triggered the bus gate lights when there were no buses. It felt like something to spend money on rather than a necessity. A constant traffic queue and pollution was created. As my previous post, there were no delays to buses eastbound before the bus gate was installed by Acton Lane. I cannot comment on one other poster but in many years of crossing this junction daily, buses never had a problem. TFL confirm this junction did not delay buses. What measures would you suggest to counter it? Other than shutting more roads? |
