If this is a reference to whether Fishers Lane will be classified as a LTN by Ealing Council and that means it will be subject to a CPZ-style consultation then I can't answer the question as I do not know the Council's intentions. But I do believe that OneEaling is not as enamoured as one might expect with the consultation proposals because it is rumored that they will be restricted to the people who live inside the LTN and on its boundaries only, which is obviously quite infuriating for those who wish to drive through the LTN and believe their voices should carry equal weight with the residents inside. The few times somebody who actually lives on Fishers Lane have raised their hands to engage in this ugly debate they have been in favour of the closure to cars, to the astonishment of its opponents. They knew before the interim review data was published that it had become a high speed dangerous road for through-traffic and that made it more unpleasant to live on. We shall see what Peter Mason decides but even if he goes for consultation I think we will have a lot of angry drivers north of the railway line. |
