"allowing buses easier exit from the bus garage" Unfortunately, Carl, this is not the case. Unlike Tom's snapshot version of reality from Street View, frozen in time, the daily experience is the phasing at the bus garage is poorly timed. If you are able to catch light at Chiswick Lane you invariably get to the red light at the bus garage. More often than not it is for naught: no pedestrians crossing nor buses accessing CHR but cars idling for no reason down to bad design. You also get buses trying to access CHR but can't because of the traffic so they will block eastbound flow entirely. So what Tom has proven is he himself doesn't get down this way much, he relies on StreetView for all manner of contortion and then he (and Paul) like to denigrate those who know the day-to-day reality. I'm of the belief that when the boys pounce they feel cornered. But that's just me. |
