| 'Isn't that what Brexit is all about? Giving UK businesses opportunities that are thought to be lost on foreign businesses? David, Brompton is a fantastic company and I am sure they did actually set up a Brompton rent a bike locker system near Turnham Green. They also sell a lot of their expensive bikes in China (at least 5% of all sales ) and have opened shops there. Now would we want Chinese nationals in Shanghai rejecting Brompton because they are British and have not connection to community? Obviously not, I seen nothing wrong with Chinese companies seeking to invest in the UK. The early stage success and execution of Mobike are a fair point to debate, but surely not the fact they want to invest in UK, Chiswick etc. |
