For my money, LBH should've approached Brompton (being based in Hounslow and all) or some other UK-based cycle business to develop alternatives. Isn't that what Brexit is all about? Giving UK businesses opportunities that are thought to be lost on foreign businesses? Is China in the UK? Is it in Hounslow? I know there is a new Chinese restaurant on King Street (not Hounslow) but I haven't been yet. I can vouch for Paya (also not Hounslow) and the occasional Singapore Garden but that's not truly Chinese. Does what it says on the tin, though. Your comparison of TfL to a privately-held for profit company is faulty to say the least. TfL is nearly 1 billion in debt. Mobike is valued at 3 billion or so. Surely they have enough in the pot to kick in something toward licensing. TfL should have something in the pot but they're too poorly "managed." I have to pay for using the pavement. As should any other business venture. But if you'd rather be able to cycle along a High Road riddled with vacancies then I hope you enjoy the ride. To nowhere. But of course only on clear sunny days. At just the right temperature. You have your cycling agenda and it comes at any cost just so long as it isn't too inconvenient for you personally - as you've clearly said - and, I'd bet, so long as it doesn't cost you anything. Why can't other people just shut up and pay the cost for you? Damn them. Let's call them all racists. Yea. That's the ticket. But dig those heels in, let the steam out your ears and slander anyone with anything to say that doesn't support your selfish perspective.
