Ken You can't have it both ways, that is cake and eat it ☹️ If you want industrial manufacturing in the UK you also have to accept it's downside - Pollution, which probably negates the upside of a pollution free mode of transport due to its polluting manufacturing processes and distribution. What's that expression of to every action there's a reaction ? Any road up to quote Tony Hancock... Looks like 4 Mobikes have been moved from their docking positions of this morning plus 2 extra dumped / deposited somewhat inconsiderately. So that's 6 people who've availed themselves of the most excellent Mobike scheme today on the stretch of CHR from Betfred to Cafe Nero (Essex Place). Whilst cycling is generally a positive activity it's not a universal panacea to counteract pollution, it helps. Therefore, unless the world and it's wife / husband / children all cycle and the countries with high pollution manufacturing processes get on board then it's doomed to being a positive iniative that wasn't practical or commercially viable. Personally I'd welcome and love a global pollution free environment, is it feasible ? Probably not. |
