I'm too infirm for bike riding but they do sound quite a good idea - from local station, ride an orange bike to your front gate, then take it back to the station the next morning - and so on each day. It would certainly ease the daily commute. We've had a few parked leaning against our home boundary wall but there is room as a strip of grass, then the pavement and then another strip of grass before the kerb & road so bike(s) don't cause too much of a trip hazard. Can imagine they might in a more confined space - not sure they look very attractive though. However, I do hope the Council is claiming a good amount for licensing these bikes to park on the public highways. |
