Second, Loraine's point is there are no designated hubs as Seth Twombley from LBH maintains. Perhaps hubs are indicated on the app but the problem persists. It is not "an idiot" it is many. If you're pedaling along on your own bike you would keep pedaling until you found a place to lock it. Ditto if you were on a Santander you'd keep going until you found the hub. With Mobikes you can simply stop and dismount at your convenience and it has been proven time and time again, daily, repeatedly that is precisely what far too many of Mobike users do. The problem isn't the users. They are operating within a very loosely defined system that LBH has let run amok. For free. If I walked up and down the streets of Chiswick and scattered A-boards promoting my business I'd be fined for each and every one of them. Yet Mobike can. For free. |
