You also can't see the state of the paving stones or the fly-tipping very well at night - but I was amazed last night in the dark and wet at how well the wheels of the Mobikes are reflected by car lights. I think a lot of people use them to get home from the tube stations. They also have fixed lights which ordinary bikes don't have. I wish all bikes had reflective spokes or wheels as it would help to make them more obvious in the dark and safer in the dark. An awful lot of cyclists need to pay more attention to this. How often have you had to walk in the street in TGT to get around the bus queue, other pedestrians and street furniture? Paul - there is a national database for bikes and if owners register their bikes and then report them stolen, prospective owners can check to see whether they are being offered a stolen one for sale. www.bikeregister.com |
