| How much do the manufacturers and supermarkets pay the Local Authorities directly for disposing of the packaging they swathe their products in? How long did it take the English parliament to put a levy on plastic carrier bags? They dragged their feet much longer than Wales, Ireland and Scotland and the UK and Ireland longer than other countries. We need to encourage people to try using other forms of transport in particular cycles. Just look at the problems people have hanging on to their own designer bikes. At least they are less likely to have quite the same sort of problem with a heavy mobike (which also comes with lights and registration no). |
