| A lot of people who wouldn't consider buying a bike, probably a lot of them with nowhere to keep a bike are getting a chance to try one out and use one. How would you feel if the Councils started this initiative themselves? I expect you'd complain about them using your Council Tax to do it. Cycling Proficiency Tests - used to be run in school - and I think that all cyclists ideally should have insurance they can get this I believe when they join a cycling organisation. The Councils run some courses: https://www.hounslow.gov.uk/info/20105/road_safety/1419/cycle_training_for_adults_and_children and there are some more interesting bikes available to try as well. |
