Sam, firstly, the CPZ issue is not a matter for me to comment on, but "over 600 employees at the stadium"? From memory this came up at the final planning meeting and was meant to be one of the amazing benefits of having a super-duper new stadium that we were all meant to applaud. Our "community based" club would we were told provide all kinds of educational, social and events facilities that it cannot currently cannot provide at the old Griffin Park. The original application included a 160 bed hotel. Not sure what has happened to that? Presumably someone will be making the beds, cleaning the toilets and nicking the drinks out of the fridge. We were all told that this development was just what was needed to kick-start the economic redevelopment of this down at heel area. Again presumably this will also require no additional delivery vehicles and everyone will arrive by bike or public transport? Dream on. Yes the people moving into the new development will be told what the parking arrangements are - do you really think that will make one iota of difference to the number of vehicles that they need to own/park? |
