Just got a letter through from LBH entitled "Riverside Ward -Possible Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) Consultation" Confusing title as there is nothing "possible" about it and it seems to be an actual consultation - with a questionnaire, survey monkey, and request to respond. Even costs of the annual permit. As expected the survey monkey link doesn't work - all part of limiting the objections. But isn't it all rather academic? The battle was lost when Councillor Mayne used an executive order to create a CPZ for (his mother in?) Park Road. The knock on effect is that the whole of Grove Park has to fall in line for Mayne and accept less parking spaces which we then have to pay for. Is there any point fighting this now? Obviously the council will never go back on the Park Road CPZ so the rot is set isn't it? |
