All I can add is that, in discussions re: any L B of H consultations: - Flat occupants say consistently that they have not all received consultation docs - L B of H say that all flat residents are sent them The paper consultations are not sent by post - they are (presumably outsourced) delivered by hand. Many of Grove Park 's flats are very very difficult to deliver leaflets to, as I know from election campaigning. Many of 'Fauconberg Village' 's doors are emblazoned with stickers proclaiming 'No Junk Mail', so it may be that the nondescript buff envelopes thrust through their doors are consigned immediately to the recycling bag. I have noticed, though, that SOME of those who prefer non-engagement with unwanted mail also complain that they have been kept out of the loop of local developments. I do have sympathy with the Council and local Councillors' aims of engaging the voting / Council Tax-paying populace re: initiatives & consultations. It's not easy, and it's not cheap. |
