What I can't understand is how he was pitched over the handlebars to such an extent he had damage to his head, if he was only going 5 mph as he claims. I'd say it's quite difficult to ride at 5 mph on a bike as it's so slow — average walking pace is 3 mph and it's really hard to ride a bike properly next to someone who's walking without wobbling all over the place. Had he slammed on his brakes going 5 mph surely he'd just have stopped. This doesn't make any sense to me. I hope they'll appeal this ruling. |
