There seems to have been an increase in cycling across Acton Green recently due to the extra traffic on South Parade/Acton Lane. Although the problem on South Parade seems to have reduced over the last week probably due to a rephasing of the lights at Acton Lane/CHR, it looks like some people are assuming it will be quicker to weave through kiddies and dogs on the footpath on the common than negotiate queues of cars on Acton Lane.

This is bound to increase the number of conflicts. It would be ironic if one of the outcomes of the TGT closure experiment was a loss of access to the footpath on the green. Ealing Council needs to check the legal situation quickly and may be consider some signage. There used to be 5mph and pedestrian priority signs in Acton Park but for some reason they were removed.
