| To me Loraine constantly overstates the level of anti-social cycling. She seems to spot it everyday whereas I rarely see any instances. This particularly applies to Acton Green which I have been crossing regularly for years and I can't recall one incident where the shared path caused any sort of conflict. The problem now is that more cyclists will be using the path because hopefully, whatever you think of Ealing and Hounslow's policies overall, there will be more cyclists. Additionally the extra traffic on South Parade and Acton Lane will be causing a shift to use the path across the Green. It would be reasonable to suppose that Ealing Council are awaiting the outcome of this court case before acting but whatever the result they probably need to take action. If the judge finds for the lady with the dog on the basis that Mr Crane shouldn't have been riding a bike in the first place then the council will have a major headache to deal with. |
