| There are people who for various reasons don't want to see dogs in parks. This plays to that. If a child had been chasing a ball and gone in front of the cyclist, I bet the judgment would have been different. In this case, clearly things happened so fast, a dog owner has to think - oh no, dog is going into the path of a cyclist, who was obviously going fast or he would have been able to stop, call the right command, dog has to register command when excited about chasing a ball, and within a few seconds, an accident happens. Cyclist almost certainly had better lawyers than dog owner did. And proof of brain damage? None. Had enough nouse to bring the case and win it. |
