This thread is dripping with naivety, pretension and pure ballistic nonsense....The usual locals trying (yet again) to kid us that they represent so-called heavyweight 'informed' discussion. As for the press … who the bloody hell nowadays (with half a brain) believes a word they read. Polly Toynbee is only the Guardian equivalent of Melanie Phillips. And if anyone wants to have, even a basic idea, of what's going on, they need to read copy from all directions and all persuasions. Before crossing their fingers and praying they've a clue what's really going on. These self-promoting W4 'Opinionistas' know bugger all about the wider world of journalism. If they did – they'd understand we're just entering the Silly Season... :) |
