| I think its interesting that David Cameron - who does have access to Intelligence reports - also says that Guantanimo and that kind of behaviour increases the terrorist threat to Britain and elsewhere. Doesn't that clearly indicate that those who advocate the use of torture also face the question of how to explain their viewpoint to relatives of attacks committed by those motivated by perceived unacceptable behaviour by 'our side'? I think that such a question is highly dubious because of the many uncertainties about the related causes and outcomes, but for those who think it is a legitimate question I don't think the argument ends there. |
