I think it's perfectly acceptable. When people use the word "torture" the mental image conjured is one of a medieval time where people where tortured until they died or they were in such physical pain they would agree to ANYTHING to make it stop....only to be executed after..... its not like that anymore. I truely do not see it as torture, more as a means to an end. If it has saved even one life then is it not worth it? In light of the revelations regarding the 7/7 attacks, their terrible injuries, harrowing stories and the poor innocent folk that were murdered just because they were going about their business, I deem waterboarding a necessary evil. My brother was MOMENTS away from one of those cowardly attacks.... He has a wife and two beautiful sons, works very hard and is a decent model citizen. Had you lost one of your children, one of your parents or all of your siblings would you now be sat at home saying it's wrong??? I doubt that very much ! To all you good people who object.... how many people did you lose in those terrorist attacks??? |
