I must say I don't find the conclusion in the National Air Traffic Services study of a third runway very reassuring here: "Recent work in NATS has identified that, to accommodate such potential growth in traffic would require significant airspace, route, procedure and technology changes to address the safety resilience of the air traffic control operation, particularly in respect of the issues arising from human error (both pilot and controller) in such a complex area of airspace."
