"However this incident emphasise the danger of being under the flightpath and in particular, the flightpath of proposed Runaway 3." Why is Runway 3 in particular going to be a danger, based on what study? Pollution, fair enough, but I do not believe our safety is at risk. Being under a flight path does not significantly increase danger to your life. Of course not being under one virtually eliminates all risk entirely, but that is not the point. No doubt this near non-event as far as plane accidents go (in that damage is minimal, and no reported loss of life) will provoke a disproportionate response from those against runway 3. |
