| Colin, Barbara has tried to lighten the mood by publishing a beautiful passage from a Mills and Boon epic called 'sleeping in the park' This piece, from the same book, comes from the front page and introduces the storyline of how the tragic heroine begins to deal with the news that her betrothed had left her: “What am I to do now?” She wondered, as she started into the future and saw nothing there but a vacuum of loneliness. Justin had been a solid, dependable part of her life for so long and now she felt like a ship drifting without a rudder…..a ship that had no destination….. a ship that had no safe haven in sight. “What am I to do now?” She murmured out aloud to the night sky, and the stars gleamed and shimmered down on her and said………..nothing! |
