| "The British Inland Revenue has absolutely no say and even less entitlement to tax a property located in Spanish sovereign territory, regardless of the owner's nationality. You cannot possibly pay tax for it in this country." Ana, you should stop trying to pretend you are a tax inspector. The property itself won't be taxed in the UK, but the earnings from it must be declared on the UK tax return, and are taxable in the UK (but are subject to double taxation relief, which means that tax paid in Spain is offset against the UK tax demand). Also, capital gains tax is not payable on income. |
