Perhaps we could make Chiswick Mall two way to relieve congestion on the westbound A4 then. Dukes Avenue in Chiswick House would be an even more direct route to the A4 than Paxton Road to relieve congestion on the A316. Redesign Beverley Road and make it ANPR so that it can be opened up to relieve congestion at the Chiswick Lane and CHR junction. Make Prebend Gardens two way to relieve the pressure on the Goldhawk / CHR junction. Open up Thornton Avenue and Chiswick Common Road to relieve the pressure on the TGT / CHR junction. Now that we have figured out that temporarily opening all these roads in Chiswick to cars whenever there is heavy traffic will improve traffic flow how are we going to let people know when we are re-closing or re-opening the roads in question? We know that drivers miss signs so we'll need another solution. Maybe posting on the forum so that the fraction of people who read it will know? And can we use the fines that will be paid by all the people who can't keep track of whether the roads are open or closed to fund the departments in Ealing and Hounslow Councils that will be doing all the work on the TMOs? And to fund all the changes in signage? We need the best car brains in Chiswick to figure all this out. |
