“ We tend to forget that the working population of this office development is around the same size as the working population of Chiswick residents and, unusually for a workplace in London, it has ample parking for staff. This means that a disproportionate number of people working there will drive to work.” There are 9,000 people working at the park - that sounds lower than the working population of Chiswick. Does anyone know the figure? And they don’t tend to drive to work - the parking is usually pretty empty. During the tube strike, the whole place was empty and I didn’t see a full car park. I was standing outside Ozzie’s when reading your post around 8.30 and there weren’t 9,000 cars queuing to go in - I counted 5 in and 4 out - Ubers and black cabs mostly. I might be wrong so I’ll take a photo of the car park when I go through later, but I’m pretty confident that the vast majority of people arrive by tube, bus and overground - there’s usually a few bikes as well and I recall they had issues with large numbers of rental bikes being left in the park. |
