"Long term, there is talk of Chiswick Park going onto the Richmond Branch." Are you sure? London Reconnections has mentioned the proposed "PiccaDist" reconfiguration - the Ealing branch of the District line closes and the trains are moved onto the Richmond branch to provide greater frequency service. The Piccadilly line would then be used to serve Ealing Broadway with it stopping at both Turnham Green and Chiswick Park. It is unclear if all Piccadilly line trains would stop at Chiswick Park. There could be a "semi-fast" service that would use the inner tracks and the "stopper" would use the outer tracks. All this is dependent on Piccadilly line re-signalling and new Piccadilly line trains so the earliest would be well into the 2020s... |
