There are only 2 bus services on Gunnersbury Lane. Are you claiming it was free flowing throughout the 00s when there was more traffic using it than today? The claim that building new roads will somehow “beat congestion” has failed again and again because all the new road does is encourage more people to drive so things end up as congested as before, just with more people. The way to reduce congestion is reduce the number of people driving, particularly single occupancy cars. Road pricing, so every journey can be charged, is the way forward for that. |
