LONDON HOME TAX Tax should have a direct bearing on the individual’s ability to pay and levied fairly across all taxpayers. Didn’t the Magna Carta have something to say about this? This proposed tax fails on both counts and will further divide the Nation. I work in Central London as a property agent and the market in this sector has been soft (estate agent speak for dead) for some while as a result of this proposed LONDON HOME TAX. Ha ha you may think, but be careful what you wish. I have seen firsthand the outcome of politicians playing around with the property market with little or no concept of what they are doing or the knock on effects of their incompetence. The Gordon Brown’s instigated brutally stepped Stamp Duty bands & Mr Balls wife’s Home Buyers Reports are just two that spring to mind. It will be blood on the floor if it goes ahead. |
