| Kathleen - Why exactly aren't you looking any further and getting more advice - and not simply relying on the self-interested manufacturers who do their own research, provide their own funding for research, don't provide all information to the EU or anyone else and so often hide behind commercial confidentiality? There are lots of different ways of dealing with grass around trees and protecting trees. There are different ways of mulching. Different ways of watering. There are always easy options for dealing with things but that does not mean that they are the best and only way. Right now it just looks as though you are choosing the easiest option for the sake of it and deliberately ignoring everything else. It is very noticeable how you are cherry picking the bits out of the Reuters report to suit your agenda. We should be erring on the side of safety and there are plenty of other research papers on the subject. That is why it has not been authorised for continual use in the EU and its use has been reviewed and re-reviewed again and again. Big companies have a reputation for heavily lobbying for their products to be used. |
